Mary Elizabeth Dwight was a Spokane artist, poet, and author. She used mixed media pencil, ink, pastel, tempera and water color in her work. She was a member of the Spokane Art Association, Composers, Authors, and Artists of America, Kappa Tau Literary Sorority, Kellogg Travel Club, Explorers’ Club, American Pen Women, Poets of the Pacific, English Speaking Union, Spokane Federation of Women’s Clubs, Washington Art Association, Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, Culture Literary Club, and Daughters of the American Revolution. The Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture holds artworks by Mary Dwight and historic and American Indian cultural materials donated to the collections by Mary Dwight.
