Adult Group Visit Program

The museum welcomes group visits to the museum. Groups include ten or more adult seniors, college students or constituents, co-workers, or church, club or organization members. We offer a separate program for school field trips for K-12 students and youth organizations. 

RESERVATIONS

  • To qualify for a group rate you must have 10 or more people.
  • Reservations must be made at least two (2) weeks prior to the requested visit date.
  • Dates are available based on staff availability and will be confirmed after you have submitted your booking form. 
  • Please complete this form and submit it to PublicPrograms@northwestmuseum.org. 
  • A single payment is due in full at least 24 hours before the visit date. Refunds will not be issued if a cancellation request is received less than 24 hours before the visit.
  • Those group members with a museum membership will be unable to use their membership for free entry when visiting as part of a group.
  • Your group must arrive at your scheduled time. If your group is late, it is at the museum's discretion whether to modify or cancel your reservation.

When booking your visit you will be a asked to choose which visit experience best suits your group:

Self-Guided Museum Visit
Your group meets initially for tickets and orientation and then you will explore the museum at your own pace.
Group rate of $10 per person

Guided Gallery Visit
Your group will be guided through the museum galleries with an educator, who will provide extra information about each exhibit. This does not include a guided tour of Campbell House. However, your group can go on a self-guided visit while the house is open between 12 and 4 pm.
Group rate of $15 per person

Special Guided Tour 
Book one of these specially researched and curated Campbell House and neighborhood tours led by a museum educator. They are by appointment only and are offered based on the availability of staff and venue. The tours last 50-70 minutes and can accommodate up to 16 people in a group. Flat rate of $15 per person, museum gallery access is not included. Please choose the tour you’d like to book:

  • Porcelain and Pagodas: Japanese-Influenced Decorative Arts in Campbell House

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Your group will meet inside the Cheney Cowles Building for tickets and orientation or in the Carriage House if you've booked a Special Guided Tour.
  • The average visit length is 1½ hours, though your group can take more or less time as you prefer.
  • Bus loading/unloading is on 1st Ave in front of the museum. 
  • The museum has free parking in a three-tier parking structure and free street parking.
  • Backpacks and large bags are not permitted inside the gallery space or Campbell House. The main museum has lockers available for a refundable $0.25.
  • Open drinks and food are not allowed inside the galleries or Campbell House.

The museum and store hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 10 am-5 pm. Campbell House is open Tuesday-Sunday, 12-4 pm. The museum cafe is being remodeled and is currently closed.
