ArtFest

In 2016 the Northwest Museum is celebrating our 31st annual ArtFest, an arts festival held in Spokane’s historic Browne’s Addition neighborhood. ArtFest is a marketplace on the threshold of summer, a gathering place for friends and families, a celebration of art in a neighborhood park. This annual festival of music, food, and art is the highlight of seasonal change in Spokane. In 2016 we celebrate two anniversaries; our 31st ArtFest and the 100th anniversary of the Eastern Washington State Historical Society.

ArtFest is a great place to buy handcrafted works in glass, clay, leather, wood, metal and fiber directly from the artists. Create your own special art in our Make it Art KidsFair, and enjoy old favorites and new additions to our food selections. However you spend your time at ArtFest, plan to join in the celebration of art, creativity, and friendship.

For 31 years, the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture has sponsored ArtFest on the weekend following Memorial Day, but the event is made possible by active participation by members of the community. Volunteering at ArtFest is an amazing way to join in the fun and support your community. See below for more information.

Volunteer for ArtFest

ArtFest is an outdoor arts festival sponsored by Eastern Washington State Historical Society/Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture, a 501(c)3. ArtFest is a festival formed to encourage and promote the arts, and active participation by all interested members of the community is invited and encouraged.

Volunteer registration for the 2016 ArtFest in Spokane’s Browne’s Addition is now open. Be one of the over 200 volunteers supporting the arts during our 31st annual ArtFest, a community celebration of fine art, food and entertainment! Shifts are usually in 2 or 3 hour blocks Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We have volunteer jobs for everyone!
